Near Earth Objects

Until December 2004, the Foundation was actively committed to the issue of identifying and tracking Near Earth Objects (NEOs), particularly asteroids of one kilometer or greater. Due to Board decisions driven by the Foundation’s limited assets, we are no longer making grants in this field, nor working on legislative changes.
